Alexis embarked on her figure skating journey at the tender age of five, quickly developing a deep passion for the sport. Her dedication led her to compete in singles events across the United States. She furthered her education at Marshall University, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, and also attended The Ohio State University, where she competed on their synchronized skating team at the collegiate level. Before turning professional, Alexis competed at Junior Nationals in multiple disciplines and earned numerous awards through the USFSA. She also worked in public accounting for over three years at Dixon-Hughes-Goodman, where she was one of five students awarded a prestigious internship. She quickly rose through the ranks, earning a promotion to senior accountant within her first year—one of the fastest promotions in her regional office.
JD's skating experience commenced at age six with ice hockey. His talent and commitment propelled him to play Division I college hockey at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He later transferred to Marshall University, serving as the captain of the hockey team. JD excelled as a hockey player, playing Center for the AAA Bobcats in Athens, Ohio, and earning a spot on the Nike Select Team USA for the Junior Olympics program in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was named first-team All-State for Ohio in 2006 and won the Top Forward Award at the Chicago Showcase. JD also worked as an exercise physiologist, implementing strength and conditioning programs for elite athletes, including Olympians, NHL & NFL players, and National Champions in multiple sports.
In 2010, Alexis and JD combined their skills to form a pair skating team. Their partnership quickly flourished, culminating in their participation in the 2012 and 2013 U.S. Figure Skating Championships. Their repertoire also includes principal pair roles in productions such as "1887" on Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas and "Freedom.com" on Freedom of the Seas. Their contracts with Royal Caribbean have spanned eight productions, including their involvement in the pre-production creation of the largest ship in the world, Icon of the Seas. These contracts were cast through Willy Bietak Productions, one of the most respected skating agencies in professional ice skating.
